Detectors

The MoNA Facility is made up of four main components. The Modular Neutron Array (MoNA) is a highly-efficency neutron detector which measures the properties of the neutrons coming from the reaction. It's companion detector, the Large multi-Instituional Scintillator Array (LISA), is of a similar design. The Sweeper Magnet is a high-field dipole magnet that "sweeps" the charged particles into the Charged Particle Detector Box. The Charged Particle system includes Cathode-ray Drift tube detectors and a CsI(Na) hodoscope.
